Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons is day to day after getting hit in the hands by a pitch during Monday night's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Simmons suffered a bruised left hand and right thumb after being hit by Oakland's Kendall Graveman in the first inning of the Angels' 3-2 loss.
Simmons exited the game an inning later, and X-rays came back negative for fractures. He is hitting .254 with three home runs and 12 RBIs this season.
