San Diego Padresright-hander Brandon Morrow, who has been on the disabled list since May 5 with right shoulder inflammation, felt "great" after throwing 45 pitches in a simulated game Thursday.

Morrow, who is 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA this season, was encouraged after the outing prior to batting practice.

"Since I started throwing again it's all been positive," Morrow told reporters. "I haven't had any setbacks or soreness."

Manager Bud Blacksaid Morrow will throw again during the weekend and, if all goes well, he could be sent out for a rehab start.
