Broncos linebacker Von Miller gifts wine to every AFC West player

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller shows no mercy for his divisional opponents on the field -- as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith could tell you -- but off the field, it seems he has a soft spot for his AFC West rivals.

According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post, Miller sent every player in the division -- a total of 289, including those on practice squads and injured reserve -- a bottle of custom wine and a thank-you note.

A cabernet sauvignon called The Setting, the wine was blended by Boulder, Colorado, native Jesse Katz and features Miller's autograph and an outline of orange eyeglasses on the label.

The note also features Miller's autograph, along with a photo of the linebacker. The text reads:

It is an honor and a privilege to take the field and compete with you twice a year. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to fulfill our childhood dreams of playing in the NFL. The blood, sweat, aches and pains, and endless hours spent watching film are a testament to the love and dedication we have for this game. So take a moment, reflect on all your successes, and enjoy your accomplishment. Appreciate those who have helped you get this far, and start working towards your next childhood dream.

With nearly 300 bottles sent, Miller can already check off a good portion of his Christmas list. We're pretty sure he can afford the kind gesture after signing the biggest deal for a defensive player in NFL history last offseason.
