CARSON, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers eclipsed Warren Moon on the NFL all-time passing list Sunday with another impressive passing performance.
Moon has 43,325 passing yards. But Rivers finished with 319 passing yards and two touchdowns passes in a 30-13 win over the Washington Redskins, pushing him to 43,444 for his career and ninth on the all-time list.
Rivers also became the third quarterback in NFL history to pass for more than 3,500 passing yards in 10 consecutive seasons. The other two are Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.
For the season, Rivers has 3,601 passing yards for 23 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.
