ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Defenseman Korbinian Holzer has agreed to a one-year, $700,000 deal to return to the Anaheim Ducks.
The Ducks announced the deal Tuesday.
The German defenseman played 29 games for Anaheim last season, recording three assists. He was a frequent healthy scratch, and he also played for the Ducks' AHL affiliate in San Diego.
Holzer has 12 points in 87 career NHL games with the Ducks and Toronto.
When restricted free agent Hampus Lindholm agrees to a new deal, the Ducks will have eight defensemen under contract who played for them last season. Anaheim also acquired NHL veteran defensemen Nate Guenin and Jeff Schultz earlier this month.
