FRESNO, Calif. -- Marvelle Harris made 5 of 8 from long range to total 24 points as Fresno State knocked off Boise State 70-64 in Mountain West Conference play on Saturday night.

There was a moment of silence prior to the game to honor the memory of former Bulldog and UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian, who died this week at the age of 84.

Winners of eight straight and in second place in the conference coming into the game, Boise State stumbled in the second half. The Broncos led throughout much of the second period until Julien Lewis grabbed a defensive rebound and slipped the ball to Harris, who went coast-to-coast for a layup and a 63-61 lead with 1:33 left. Davis and Cezar Guerrero made seven free throws in the final 46 seconds to seal the victory for Fresno State (12-13, 7-5).

Derrick Marks led Boise State (18-7, 8-4) with 31 points.
