SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento Kings forward Carl Landry had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist.

The Kings said Landry underwent the operation on Tuesday in New York and will miss approximately four to five months.

Landry dealt with a sore wrist this past season, missing five games in January. An initial evaluation indicated surgery was not necessary. But when the pain persisted in the offseason, Landry underwent an MRI that revealed that surgery was necessary.

Landry averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this season.
