LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol after being diagnosed with a concussion on Saturday.
Ingram was re-evaluated Saturday after suffering what the team initially diagnosed as a neck muscle contusion during Friday's 124-122 overtime loss to Milwaukee. Preliminary tests for a concussion after the game came up negative.
Ingram, who had just returned and played in two games after missing 12 straight games with a groin injury, has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball is also listed as doubtful with a left knee contusion.
