Michael Bennett honoring teammate

Ohio Statedefensive lineman Michael Bennett wore No. 53 on Saturday night against Wisconsin(No. 13 CFP, No. 11 AP) to honor late teammate Kosta Karageorge.

Bennett, who was a pallbearer during Karageorge's funeral Wednesday, normally wears No. 63.

Karageorge was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head Sunday. He had been missing since Nov. 26.

Karageorge's mother told police he'd had several concussions and a few spells of extreme confusion. A coroner says a special examination will look for signs of traumatic brain injury related to concussions.

Karageorge joined the Buckeyes (No. 5 CFP, No. 6 AP) this season as a walk-on. He also was on the wrestling team for three years.
