Source: Resting Andre Iguodala a game an option even if MRI clean

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will undergo a MRI on his left knee Monday.

As of now, the team is calling it a "sore left knee."

After the results come back from the MRI, the Warriors will evaluate the best course of action moving forward. Resting Iguodala, 33, a game as a precautionary measure is on the table, a team source told ESPN, even if the results come back clean.

Warriors acting coach Mike Brown said Iguodala didn't practice Monday and was questionable for Game 2.

Stephen Curryalso missed Monday's practice. Brown said Curry was "good to go."

The Warriors have been cognizant all season about keeping Iguodala's minutes low and his practice workload limited.

According to a source,Iguodala didn't participate in much of the up-and-down court work leading up to Sunday's Western Conference finals opener because of his knee soreness.

The Warriors' super reserve played only 10 minutes Sunday, scoring two points and registering an assist in the team's 113-111 comeback victory against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Warriors are expected to know the severity of Iguodala's injury before Monday's practice.
