Stephen Curry says that he was not making fun of LeBron James in a video taken last weekend at Harrison Barnes' wedding in Newport, Rhode Island.

Retired player Brendan Haywood, whose final season was with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014-15, posted the video on Instagram on Sunday, with a message saying "shots fired at somebody'' and #kingwontlikethis.

The video was interpreted by many as Curry mocking James' own dance video, with Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving -- who recently requested a trade -- among those cheering on Curry.

"I've been watching [the James] video twice a day since it happened because it's my favorite video in the entire world," Curry told The Athletic. "He made a song popular by making a video. And that lives. So now every time I hear that song, that's all I think about.

"And I've been doing that dance because of him, at my house, at dinner. When something good happens, I pull that out because I like it, and it makes me laugh, and it makes me happy. Not making fun of him."

Curry added that Irving's presence was "a casualty of the moment."
