The Warriors were again withoutStephen Curryas they opened the second round of the playoffs with a 123-101 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, but they appear set to welcome back their two-time MVP.

Curry, listed as questionable entering Saturday's contest in Oakland, told ESPN's Chris Haynes that he plans to make his playoff debut on Tuesday, while acknowledging that the decision is up to the team's medical staff.

"If it were up to me, I would have played for about 20 minutes tonight," Curry said. "The plan is to return Tuesday, but ultimately it's up to the training staff. I feel good."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr called it "very likely'' that Curry plays in Game 2 of the best-of-seven series.

Curry has not played since he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee on March 23.He returned to full practice with contact Thursday and scrimmaged 5-on-5 for the first time Friday.

Kerr said he is encouraged that his superstar point guard is feeling so good but said he prefers that Curry get additional on-court time at full-speed Sunday.

"Just made the decision based on giving him the extra few days and the fact he only scrimmaged yesterday,'' Kerr said before Saturday's game. "You've been out five weeks, and we're playing in the playoffs. I don't think one scrimmage is enough, even though he feels great, he wants to play and pleaded his case."
