FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Four people have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in central Fresno on Thanksgiving.

Fresno police say 22-year-old Anthony Calderon was killed in the shooting outside of an apartment complex near Pleasant and Fedora avenues.

"This sad death was on a morning when most of us were preparing to celebrate, put a turkey in the oven, and preparing ready to spend time with friends and family," said Fresno Police Interim Chief Mindy Casto.

"Sadly, his family will never get to see him again."

Nearly three months later, police have arrested 20-year-old Uniese Brown, 19-year-old Christopher Stanley, 20-year-old Demarion Hackett, and a 16-year-old boy in connection to the murder.

"I can tell you the amount of work that was put into this case is unparalleled," said Fresno Police Lt. Paul Cervantes.

The fog at the time of the shooting and the many guns used created challenges.

"I can tell you it was unprovoked and nothing short of what we would categorically say was an ambush," Lt. Cervantes explained.

The scene was riddled with bullets and evidence after the murder.

MAGEC detectives helped identify one of the suspects, which helped open the door to the others.

"Once we started to tug at that piece of carpet, we were able to rip the whole thing off," Lt. Cervantes said.

Two suspects are still on the loose but police did not share names or descriptions.

"You can either turn yourselves in. Or you can wait until we find you and I guarantee you that we will find you," said Lt. Cervantes.
