Police are investigating what led to a man being pistol-whipped at a home in southeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating what led to a man being pistol-whipped at a home in southeast Fresno.

Thursday night, officers found an intoxicated man with a head wound on McKinley and Normal Avenues and rushed to the hospital.

Police say they surrounded the home and spoke to the suspect inside the home using a bullhorn.

McKinley from Normal to Millbrook was closed off as activity continued.

Police have not said how the incident came to an end.

They are now working to learn more about the man's level of intoxication and his injuries.
