FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A seven-year old is recovering after being hit by a car in a Southwest Fresno neighborhood.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday night near Drummond and Ivy.
Fresno Police say the young girl was outside her home when she ran out into the street and was hit by a car.
"The initial reports show she was playing in her yard. She ran out into the street. Unfortunately, he is an unlicensed driver," said Lieutenant Bill Dooley.
The young girl was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
She is expected to be okay.
