Kassandra Gutierrez
Kassandra Gutierrez joined the ABC30 Action News team in January of 2022. She is a Central Valley native from Lindsay, CA and is excited to be telling stories in her home community.

Kassandra is ABC30's South Valley Reporter, based out of the Visalia Bureau. Before that, she was a Race and Culture Journalist, covering social justice issues, such as human trafficking, homelessness and shining light on marginalized communities and their successes.

She is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Media Studies, with a Minor in Ethnomusicology. While at UCSB, she also studied abroad in Paris, France and spent a summer teaching creative writing and physical education in Nairobi, Kenya. After college, Kassandra returned to her hometown and served as the 87th Orange Blossom Festival Queen.

Prior to ABC30, she spent time as a weekend weather anchor and reporter in Redding, California, at ABC7, where she covered some of the largest wildfires in California history, severe winter storms and record-breaking heat. She started her on-air career as a reporter in Eugene, Oregon, after interning at a local Fresno TV station. She is a leader in CCNMA: Latinos Journalist of California.
