Mother accidentally runs over her 2-year-old in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities have identified the two-year-old accidentally killed after being run over by her mother Sunday evening. Her name is Emily Corlew.

Highway patrol officers said the family had just returned to their home near Del Rey and the kids were getting out of the van. Investigators said there was some confusion about which children had gone inside the house and when the mom backed up, she couldn't see Emily wedged in behind the van.

Investigators said the van had all the proper safety equipment and there's no question the death was completely accidental.
