FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The fourth annual AIDS Walk took place Saturday at Fresno's Woodward Park.
The event paid tribute to those who have been lost to the disease and people who are infected, affected, or at risk of HIV or AIDS. All proceeds raised will support The Living Room, which is Fresno's only Hiv-Aids social support center.
Organizers say they hope to use this event to also raise awareness. They say though cases have dropped nationwide, Fresno is seeing a six percent increase in new cases
Following the walk was a health fair with various community organizations and vendors. And as a continued tradition, doves were released in memory of those who've been lost.
