"The fan base just grew over the years and I mean, it's always been big but tonight, for some reason, it's showing out a lot more," says Jessica Leyva.
A large showing for the Chivas - the stands mostly sea of red and white.
Overall, the energy in the crowd, was electric.
"That's why I came - for the energy," says Stephen Schwinges. "Because when you're from Europe, you don't get that much of the MLS energy."
A die-hard soccer fan, he came all the way from San Francisco to take in the game.
Some fans waited out the long lines leading into the park across the street at Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company.

Drinks before the game, people said it felt pre-pandemic.
"Really like back to normal, I guess you could say like a breath of fresh air," says Mayra Jauregui.
In the open air, the crowd was excited to witness this international game.
The pride of soccer fans - palpable.
"I think everyone gets a little more excited," says Johnny Cuenca.
