Saturday marked the last day for Heroes Comics located at Shaw and Blackstone.

The store was open from 10 this morning and officially closed at 6 p.m.
Owner Dave Allread is retiring after being in business for the last 34 years.
He said it was a great feeling being able to retire after doing something that he loved.

"It's been a great day I've seen people that I see every week and I've seen people I haven't seen in 20 years today. So pretty emotional day," Allread said.
Allread also thanked the city of Fresno for staying in business for so long.
Long-time customer Joey Martinez will be taking over the business with a new location and name, Secret Identity Comics.
