REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Loved ones and family members of the four people murdered in Reedley are coming together for a vigil to remember and honor their lives on Friday.

Reedley police found 44-year-old Guadalupe Bonds, 81-year-old Billy Bonds, and 61-year-old Darrell Bonds dead in the backyard of their home on Church and Curtis on Saturday.

Officers later later found 43-year-old Matthew Bonds dead in their neighbor's backyard.

Autopsy reports now reveal all four victims were shot.

Friday night, the street was packed outside of the Bonds' home, where hundreds took time out of their night to pay their respects to the slain family.

"When a neighbor or someone in our community is hurt, it's amazing to see the city come together or come support them in their time of tragedy," said Reedley Police Chief Joe Garza.

Many are still shocked this type of violence happened in a small town like Reedley.

"It's a really sad thing that this happened; we're all devastated, everybody is, just really heartbreaking," said Julie Curnett, a friend of the Bonds' family.

Zachary Bork, Billy's nephew, says his uncle is someone who always puts his family first.

"He acted like a tough guy, but that was his thing, taking care of us, taking care of the family, never let anybody go without," said Bork.

"You never think something like this is going to happen in your neighborhood or your hometown. As you can see, you can't take life for granted."

As people bowed their heads and wiped away tears, many also shared memories.

Loved ones added that Billy's strong personality was well-known in town.

"Billy used to be my bus driver. When he punished you, he used to make you do push-ups in the aisle," recalled Russell Franks, a Reedley resident.

On Tuesday, Police arrested a suspect, Matthew's 17-year-old neighbor and friend.

The suspect's mother and her boyfriend were also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact. The couple has since bailed out of jail.

Garza says the department's work does not stop here.

"There's still a lot of work to be done in our investigation, but the least we could do is put that all done and at least support the family and our community," said Garza.

Family members told Action News they are beyond grateful for the community's support and everyone who stopped by the vigil, including the police department.
