FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A fire that broke out near Avocado Lake in Fresno County on Friday is now 100 percent contained. It burned a total of 71 acres.
The flames surrounded a home at one point, but Cal Fire officials say it was not damaged thanks to defensible space and a quick response. Crews stayed in the area throughout the weekend to make sure hot spots did not flare up.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
