3 dead, 3 injured in car crash near Orange Cove, CHP says

ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed three people in Fresno County.

It happened at about 2 Wednesday afternoon on Hills Valley Road and Manning Avenue near Orange Cove.

Officers say a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 68-year-old man from Yokuts Valley collided head-on with a Honda van driven by a 33-year-old Madera man.

The man in the truck was killed.

Five people were in the van. The driver and a passenger from Firebaugh in that van were killed.

Investigators have not yet identified the victims.

Three other people were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
