Adamstown, PA. -- Carol Stoudt has been brewing beer for over 30 years.
In 1987, Carol founded he first microbrewery in Pennsylvania, Stoudt Brewery. As the mother of five kids and a former kindergarten teacher, she faced challenges even getting funding for her dream business. "It was hard for me to get financing, because people weren't expecting of a female to be in brewing. Beer was a man's drink. Women, maybe they didn't drink, or if they did, they drank a glass of wine," she said.
Today, Stoudt brewery brews over 9,000 barrels of beer every year, and with over 1,000 different varieties to choose from, there's a beer for everyone.
