FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A shooting suspect was arrested after an hours-long search by police in a central Fresno neighborhood on Friday.
Around 7 am, officers tried to serve a search warrant at a home on 9th Street and Bellaire Way as they were looking for 20-year-old Phatna Pich.
Investigators say Pich was wanted for his alleged involvement in four shootings.
Officials say Pich managed to jump through a window and ran away from the home with a semi-automatic handgun and a high-capacity magazine.
Police and a SWAT team closed off the area as they searched for Pich, later finding him barricaded in the garage of a nearby home.
Pich was arrested around 3:00 pm after he came out of the garage and surrendered himself to officers.
During a search of the Pich's home, police say they found several firearms.
He was booked inot the Fresno County Jail on several charges related to the shootings and resisting arrest.
Nearby Centennial Elementary School went into a shelter in place during the search and students were dismissed early at 1 pm.
