Man dies following double shooting in Strathmore, homicide detectives investigating
Sheriff's officials said 34-year-old Antonio Pedro Lopez died a short time after being taken to a hospital.
STRATHMORE, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man who was shot overnight in Strathmore has died from his injuries, authorities said.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting near Avenue 188 and Road 240 at about 12:30 am on Wednesday.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said a man and woman were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital. Sheriff's officials said 34-year-old Antonio Pedro Lopez died a short time later.
The woman had non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.
Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation. A motive for the shooting or possible suspect information has not been released.
Authorities are asking anyone for information to contact the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.
