Fresno Police officer recognized for work investigating DUI crashes

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local officer is receiving recognition for doing his part to keep drunk drivers off the road.

Law enforcement officers from across California gathered in San Diego to be recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving on Saturday.

Fresno Police detective Brian Hance received MADD's Hero Award which is its highest award given to law enforcement officers.

He was awarded for his exceptional work in the investigation of fatal DUI collisions.
