Kids learn how food is grown! ABC30 anchors Liz Harrison and Kevin Musso host "Children First: Kids and Agriculture," Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 6:30PM.
This half-hour television special will focus on programs helping Central Valley students understand and appreciate agriculture. The Central Valley is the most productive agricultural region in the country. Learn about the Growbotics program helping kids grow vegetables. See Sanger students dive into Aquaponics to help their food grow. Discover jobs available in the ag industry. Watch Future Farmers of America students show off their sales and marketing skills at the Big Fresno Fair. ABC30 visits kids who are using their ag skills to help a North Valley non-profit.
Children First is a year-long effort focusing on the challenges, problems and opportunities facing our youth in Central California. The program shows how the average person can make a difference in a child's life and highlights local organizations working with kids. The Children First campaign includes half-hour programs like "Kids and Agriculture," thirty-second public service announcements, and special stories on Action News. ABC30 thanks our partners below for putting Children First in the Central Valley.
