31-year-old man shot and killed in Farmersville, police say

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after police say a 31-year-old man was shot and killed in Farmersville.

Police and Tulare County Sheriff's deputies were called to Petunia Street and Ventura Avenue just before 1 am Wednesday.

They were told there was a man lying near the sidewalk who wasn't moving.

When authorities arrived, they found the man with apparent gunshot wounds.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Police have not said what led up to the shooting.

There is no information on a possible suspect at this time.
