Farm worker killed in accident near Chowchilla

FRESNO, Calif. -- An investigation is under way in the North Valley where a motorcyclist died after crashing into a tree.

It happened in the area of Road 24 and Avenue 24, near Chowchilla, just after 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

By the time emergency crews arrived the man on the motorcycle was already dead. Cal-OSHA and the sheriff's department are looking into what caused the accident. It's being investigated as an "industrial accident" because the rider was a farm worker.
