Fresno County DA employee shoots dog after being attacked in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a Fresno County District Attorney employee was attacked by a dog-- shooting the animal. It happened Tuesday morning near Pacific Avenue and Sussex Way.

Officials said the investigator was walking by a home just after 8:00 a.m. when the Pit Bull attacked. He then fired two rounds at the dog striking it.

The Pit Bull is still alive.

It's not yet known if the investigator was injured in the attack.
