2 dead, 1 arrested after crash near Millerton Lake

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people on a motorcycle are dead and a driver arrested following what the California Highway Patrol is calling a "tragic accident." It happened near Auberry and Millerton roads, southeast of Millerton Lake, on Friday afternoon.

Cal Fire says the driver of a white Chevrolet pickup truck lost control around a curve and crashed into a Toyota Highlander and then crashed head-on into the motorcycle.

The CHP says the 38-year-old driver of the white pickup is under arrest, believed to have been under the influence of prescription drugs.
