2 injured in wildfire in Fresno County, officials say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Crews are working to fully contain a Fresno County wildfire that left two people recovering from burns.

The fire started around 2 Sunday afternoon on Pebble Lane and Ripple Lane, in the Squaw Valley area east of Fresno.

Officials say the winds picked quickly spreading the fire and requiring the help of more crews.

The fire scorched about 55 acres and damaged three buildings, including homes.

Containment is at 50 perfect as of Monday morning.

Authorities say two residents were hurt in the fire.

The two injured residents were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno to be treated.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
