FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Generals Highway in Sequoia National Park has reopened after a closure due recent rock and mudslides.
The park announced the closure Sunday morning and reopened Monday.
Slides continued to move throughout the day, making it too risky for crews to clear.
Officials said they were monitoring the highway and decided to reopen it when it was safe to do so.
Grant Grove in Kings Canyon National Park remains open, with tire chains or cables required.
