HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Michigan -- A family in Michigan are looking for a new place to live after they believe they found proof a ghost is out to harm their baby girl.
Heather Brough and Joshua Higgins told WXYZ that the evidence is on their nanny cam. Brough said she noticed the eerie figure while looking at the camera's feed a few weeks ago.
"I freaked out," Brough said. "I stopped what I was doing and I ran upstairs and grabbed my daughter."
Brough also believes that scratches on her daughter's face are there because the ghost attacked her. Brough said she, too, had a run-in that she thinks was the ghost.
"It scares us that it could do something else," Brough said. "I mean, there was a morning I woke up and I felt like someone's hands were around my neck."
The family thinks this could all be tied to the history of the house, according to Josh's father Jim.
"The gentleman who lived here originally committed suicide, apparently by jumping out this window, which is one story down," Jim Higgins said.
The couple is taking steps to get out of the situation, calling in a team of paranormal investigators. The young family is all sleeping in the same room until they can save up enough money to move, they said.
