MIAMI -- A gold bar stolen in a $5 million armored truck robbery in North Carolina has been recovered by the FBI in South Florida, and authorities suspect a strong Miami-area connection.

The FBI on Monday released a photo of the 26-pound gold bar, worth up to $500,000. The FBI is seeking the public's help to find other gold bars from the March 1 robbery along Interstate 95 in North Carolina. The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges.

In all, the robbers stole 275 pounds of gold worth nearly $5 million from the truck, bound for Boston from Miami. The FBI says the robbers identified themselves in Spanish as police before tying the hands of the guards and leading them into woods.
