Hammerhead shark rams, bites kayak off SoCal coast

DANA POINT, Calif. -- A close encounter between a hammerhead shark and a kayaker off the coast of Southern California was caught on video.

Bill Morales captured video of the incident, which happened over the weekend near Dana Point. He says the hammerhead was ramming into the kayak while they were fishing and biting the side of it.

Morales believes it's the same shark that has been stealing fish from their lines.

The beach was not closed, but lifeguards posted warning signs in the area.
