High speed rail grade separation opens in Fresno County
The South Avenue Grade Separation in Fresno County is now open to traffic between Cedar and Maple Avenues.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California High-Speed Rail Authority has finished another portion of the nation's first high-speed rail system.

The South Avenue Grade Separation in Fresno County is now open to traffic between Cedar and Maple Avenues.

Traffic can now travel over the existing BNSF Railway and future high-speed rail lines.

The Authority anticipates it will complete several additional portions throughout this summer and fall.
