Woman injured after being hit by car in Friant

FRIANT, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a woman was hit by a car in Fresno County.

Around 9:30 Wednesday night the woman was walking on Parker Street in the town of Friant when she was struck by a gold Lexus sedan. She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, her condition is unknown.

CHP officers do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

No word on if the victim was either in the crosswalk or near it.

The driver is cooperating in the investigation.
