Huron residents warned to boil water over E. coli concerns

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Residents in Huron are being warned to boil all drinking water over concerns of E. coli contamination.

The bacteria was found in the water supply Wednesday.

It can be especially dangerous for people with weakened immune systems, such as infants and the elderly.

The City of Huron says E. coli contamination can happen when there is pipe damage or failure in the water treatment process.

They hope to have the problem resolved by Saturday.
