'The Shining' finds new life in horrifyingly funny IKEA ad

The furniture retailer released a hilarious take on Stanley Kubrick's horror masterpiece "The Shining" in a new advertisement seen above. Although not all the trademarks of "The Shining" could be implemented (it would rather impractical to have an elevator full of blood drench the mattress section,) the advertisement still captured some of the more notable scenes from the film including:

All this ad needs is a manic Jack Nicholson wielding an axe, but that probably wouldn't bode well for all of IKEA's wooden products.
