MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A crash involving three big rigs and an SUV snarled traffic on Highway 99 in Madera County.
It happened in the northbound lanes near Avenue 20 around 1:45 Monday afternoon.
The CHP says one of the trucks sideswiped one that was pulled off on the side, causing it to lose control.
That led to a larger chain reaction crash.
One of the trucks overturned and began spilling fuel, while the other ended up in the center divide.
A fire sparked but was quickly put out.
No major injuries were reported but the SUV driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
