When was the last time America was "great"?

The slogan "Make America Great Again" is the backbone of Donald Trump's campaign. So we asked RNC attendees: "When was the last time you think America was 'great'?"

Some people said the 90s was a prosperous time for the country. While they may have been thinking about President George H.W. Bush, Democratic President Bill Clinton was in office for the majority of the decade.

Others looked to the Reagan presidency of the 80s, citing the president's strong defense policies and patriotism. Interestingly, it was actually Reagan who first used Trump's now famous phrase "make America great again" back in 1980.
