FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three suspects have been arrested for a pair of deadly shootings in Fresno this year.

Wednesday afternoon, the Fresno Police Department announced it completed two separate investigations resulting in the arrest of a trio suspects in recent homicides spanning less than a month of each other.

"These particular murders are very violent resulting in something near 100 rounds fired on both of those incidents combined," said Fresno Police Lt. Paul Cervantes.

Fresno police identified 27-year-old Donte Harmon and 30-year-old Maurice Fields as suspects in a shooting that happened on September 10th in the area of Abby Street and Garland Avenue.

When they arrived, they found Sylvester Choi with gunshot wounds.

The 35-year-old later died at the scene.

Two others were hit by gunfire, but managed to survive.

"On that one particular incident alone approximately 35 rounds were fired, which underscores the intensity of the attack on that day," said Lt. Cervantes.

The second shooting happened on October 20th in the area of Meyers Avenue and Arthur Avenue.

While responding to a subsequent ShotSpotter alert, officers discovered 35-year-old Patrick Dixon suffering from gunshot injuries.

Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the hospital.

"Between both of these two incidents we're talking about an extreme amount of rounds that were fired," said Lt. Cervantes.

The third suspect, Nathen Rodriguez already in custody for an unrelated offense.

He is charged in connection to the September 10th homicide.

"No less than 25 search warrants were authored and executed. As a result of some of those search warrants, we recovered six firearms," Lt. Cervantes explained.

"These weapons that we've recovered were, in fact, weapons that were used on the murders on Abby and the murders on Meyers."

Both Harmon and Fields were changed with both homicides with the help of Sacramento police and Fresno police.

Fresno police are making a plea to the public as it believes there are more individuals responsible for these deadly shootings.

"Given the number of rounds fired, it's only by the grace of God that we don't have more victims that were struck by gunfire and/or actually dead," said Lt. Cervantes.

Anyone with information about these shootings is asked to call the Fresno Police Department are (559) 621-7000.
