Highway 152 in Madera County has reopened after a big rig truck caught on fire Monday morning.

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Highway 152 in Madera County has reopened after a big rig truck caught on fire Monday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says the fire happened on the highway's westbound lanes, just west of Road 12.

The flames caused both directions of Highway 152 to close fully.

The closure rerouted holiday travelers heading from or to the Bay Area for New Year's Eve celebrations.
