MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Narciso Gallardo Fernandez, the man who is accused of killing a Walgreens employee and holding a grudge against pharmacies, made his first appearance in court Wednesday afternoon.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his bail was set at $3 million. His next hearing was set for Friday, April 4.
During the hearing, Action News saw Fernandez rolling his eyes, nodding, and looking around the room as the judge spoke.
Madera Police say Fernandez shot and killed Walgreens employee Erick Velazquez at the store off Cleveland and Schnoor late Monday night. They also say he attempted to shoot another employee.

Investigators confirm Fernandez drove from Pixley and told Action News that he admitted to having a "general disdain or grudge against pharmacies."
Fernandez is seen firing a shot at a Walgreens surveillance camera, moments after police said he killed Velasquez.
They say the suspect did not know the victim.

Velasquez's neighbor tells Action News the man was the father of two young children.
The community is coming together to support his family, and a coworker has started a GoFundMe.
Walgreens sent Action News a statement, saying in part, "We are deeply saddened by Monday's tragic event, which resulted in the death of one of our team members. Our thoughts are prayers are with their loved ones during this difficult time."
