Man dies following accidental shooting in Kingsburg, police say

KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Kingsburg Police Department is investigating an accidental shooting that left one man dead.

Officers responded to a home on Orange Street near 22nd Avenue just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday.

Officers found a 20-year-old man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The man was taken by ambulance to an awaiting helicopter on Highway 99.

He then was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

The man has not yet been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
