FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One of the Valley's largest and most successful food companies helped raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Last month, Ruiz Foods picked one day and asked all its employees to wear pink. For every person who did, the company donated $10 dollars to Kaweah Delta Medical Center's breast cancer unit in Visalia.
On Thursday, the hospital received a check for $9,080! More than 900 employees from the Dinuba and Tulare facilities took part.
Ruiz foods is based in Dinuba and since 2010, it has been the top seller of frozen Mexican dishes in the country.
This was their first year to have a "Pink Out Day" to help find a cure for breast cancer.
