Former Selma High and Fresno FC soccer player, Moises Martinez, has passed away.

A former Selma High and Fresno Fuego soccer player has passed away.

Last October, Moises Martinez, 24, was hospitalized after collapsing from a brain aneurysm.

His family has now set up a GoFundMe page to help cover his funeral expenses.

Doctors performed emergency surgery on him after he was airlifted to UC San Francisco last year.

At that time, his fiance was two months pregnant.

Fresno FC released a statement regarding the passing of Martinez:

"Los Zorros lost a member of our family last night. Moises Martinez, who starred at Selma High, West Hills College, Fresno Fuego and our Fresno FC U23s, passed away Monday. He was 25. Moises was a son, brother, friend, teammate, loving fiancé and expecting father when his life was cut short by a tragic turn of events. Moises will always remain in our hearts, leaving behind a legacy in our Central Valley soccer community. Our hearts are with his family at this difficult time, and forever."
