SANTA CLARA, Calif. --San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner is no stranger to eye-popping plays but it will be tough to top what he pulled off early in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

With 14:01 left in the second quarter, Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett dropped back to throw on third-and-5 from New England's 35. Brissett fired a pass over the middle intended for receiver Tyquan Thornton.

Lurking in the middle of the field, Warner timed his leap just right, extended his hands to maximum reach and pulled it in for his second interception of the season. Untouched, Warner got to his feet and raced down the right sideline, diving into the end zone for a 45-yard return and a touchdown to make it 13-0 49ers.

It was the second career pick-six and 10th interception of Warner's career. Warner is the first defender in franchise history to post 10 sacks and 10 interceptions in his career.
